Edward Foley

I received my bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI and my master’s degree, also in Fine Arts, from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI. 

My artwork has taken many different paths over the years, ranging from photography and printmaking, screen printing, to sound art and film, to sculpture and furniture making and most recently, wood turning.  The constant between all of the mediums has remained a deep appreciation for nature.

I have a background in organic farming and regenerative agriculture. I studied at Northern Michigan University, receiving a degree in Environment Sustainability.

I have a passion for locally created goods and am honored to participate in creating beautiful works of art for the local community. I take full advantage of living in Leelanau County, spending most of my time outdoors. When I’m not in the wood shop or making wine, I will likely be out and about exploring with my wife and pups!

As a co-founder, I particularly enjoy overseeing marketing, advertising, and event planning for the Workshop.
